With maybe a half-inch of powdered snow down I was having coffee in the kitchen after breakfast. Out back Bosco and Tuxedo were playing in the snow. The play goes like this - the cats gallop at high speed for some strides and then stop short. They get down low and then skid over the slick snow-covered grass for as far as they go. Then they cavort and tumble together in the snow before doing it all over again.
Bear in mind that they are doing this with full bellies and good shelter with warm beds just steps away. This is not normal behavior for feral street cats.

I have some house cat pix from today that I will post after the GP card.
The teen bride of almost 45 years explained to me this morning that the TNR cats out back are not "feral". They are well-fed house cats using some great beds and the garage as their "house" and that their house is a good one.
She has a point. Not a lot of feral cats get fueled every day with premium wet cat food and cans of expensive chicken, tuna and sardines. Not every feral cat gets to lay up in a cat condo loaded up with straw or a great bed in a tight garage.

Excellant point made by Mrs 1/4 P I don't think of the FF..(Feline Family) as feral either. They live in a "condo" dine al fresco on premium food. Frolic in winter snow....relax on deck in summer! And they have freedom to roam their territory' at will.
