Through many decades I did the fillings and caught some extractions One wisdom tooth job had novocain numbness going into my right shoulder. That was a horror. I had crowns done, had a permanent bridge installed. I especially remember the root canal jobs that had my feet dancing on the dentist's ceiling. Well into my sixties I had my remaining teeth torn out of my head with two dental surgeries and after I stopped bleeding and healed a bit I got fitted for dentures. Those teeth now reside in a glass of beer on my night table and I put them in whenever I have to go to a wake or funeral.
The teen bride? She's got a hundred grand in her mouth with the implants to go along with her own teeth. Yesterday she had another dental surgery done to remove an implant post from a jaw bone so that another surgery could be done to get it to a better place inside her face. She pays huge for insurance and can afford it but I don't understand paying for "mouth agony", bleeding and gum sutures just so a dental surgeon can have another go at it with power tools. She wants a great smile no matter what and I'll just keep my toothless mouth closed as I gum my lower lip. A marriage can last 45 years like mine if you learn to keep your yap shut.
