On Monday evening I felt tired so I went to bed at 8 p.m. Up at 4 a.m. Tuesday I was up before the house cats. I flipped on the lights downstairs and prepared a good breakfast for them. They ate well and after I shut down the lights to go back upstairs to catch up on things on my PC the cats all went back to their beds to crash with full bellies. And at 6:15 when I make my muffin run to ShopRite I just know the cats will try to play me for a second breakfast.

The rain all day Tuesday kept the outside cats away and I couldn't feed them much but on Wednesday morning I had a large group of hungry breakfast diners. Well-fed cats can go a day without eating much if they prefer to lay up in warm dry beds out of the rain.
