I finally got all my VA ducks in a row and pre-surgical tests done including an EKG while a crazy woman collected some of my blood and urine. Tomorrow (June 10th) I'm going to have some left lung and lymph nodes removed and my prognosis for "cured of cancer" is excellent. I fully expect to be walking in my front door in a few days and I have an 18-pack of Bud Lights in the fridge waiting for me.
If something goes wrong BL is a long-time admin and my son John will be able to keep this site going. John has my permission to keep my friends here up to date on how I'm dong. No matter what happens it's been a fun ride and I hope to be here playing the ponies for a long time yet.

Hoping for a successful procedure and recovery, I'm expecting to see you back here very soon as you strike me as a person who can handle this sort of thing better than most people can. All the best to you Larry.

Hey, don't flirt with those nurses now! Best results, quick and easy recovery. There's a lot left...

Pop has been dropped off at the Hospital for the Surgery. All seems to be in good order. My mother tells me he was in good spirits and will keep me informed when she finds anything out. Now to just sit back and wait. Good Luck pops.

Out of ICU and into a room with a fellow from astoria, queens.
Got cut open more than expected but feel fortunate that dr. Spier went with the more invasive plan b. Something to do with scar tissue.
And yes I'm in a hospital gown that allows everybody to see my old ass which bothers me Not one bit. I got filleted.
