I really like the 1 here. 13-1 makes me smile even more. 6 of 9 in the money and drops to a tag. Steadied at 3/8-pole last race and ran stady the rest of race. The drop and switch to Mig makes me happy. May not win but is worth the wager at 13-1. Look to hit the board.
Across the board on the 1
1 D/D 1/all
ebx 1-2-3
Tri 2/1-3/all
Qp plays D/D 2/2-4-7
Partner pk 3 1-2/2-4/1-4

All chalk does is cut the losses and grind you down. You last longer sometimes covering the chalk but your ticket is already punched to the poorhouse.
Many years ago I remember being at Belmont Park with the old man. People were on the $10 win window and the $50 window pounding the zip-to-5 chalk. He told me to look at their shoes. As a 1914 person out of the Depression and WWII he had an interest in shoes because his were in bad shape during the 1920s and 1930s.
"Larry", said the old man, "Half the people on the fifty-dollar line have holes in their shoes."
Pop was right and I never forgot that. And yes, the chalk was off the board that race.
