I will not not live to be a hundred nor will I ever live long enough to understand cats. Earlier today I caught Shiloh and and her mother Mister Mittens napping together. From the books I have read and from what Dr. Wallach has told me I understand that female cats as "blood" relatives will often lay up together for warmth and companionship and protection while the males in the family are out chasing strange lady cats for mates (providing the lady cats are not looking for a mate while in season). The three cats in my house are spayed and neutered but the tomcat Trouble will only be bunking up close with his sister Shiloh (aka Sweet Babycakes). He won't share a bed with his mother. He's a big gentle tomcat but his instincts only has him warbling for females in the middle of the night and while racing around the house during the day while not packing the equipment. He's a 17-pound gentle feline slob that goes nuts with joy when you pet him. The girls today:
