As of 7:15 a.m. Thursday Ginger, Catty Patty and Bosco are on their way to be neutered, vaccinated and checked out by a vet.

This evening, with no food outside we hope to trap a few more. And we hope to snag Ginger's four kittens.

Oops! Catty Patty is still here. The black and white cat I glimpsed in a trap (with a blanket over it) was either Margo or Nasty Mom.

On Thursday night we only got Bristol into a trap but we had to release her since she is nursing kittens. We're taking two weeks off to allow the kittens to be weaned and will be out to trap some more. Catty Patty and Tuxedo were out back last night and hadn't eaten in 24 hours but neither would get into a trap to eat.

The neutered Ginger, Bosco and Margo are due to be returned here on Saturday in time to catch the Preakness with me.

They likely "knew" something was amiss :?
Hopefully the returnees will be no worse for the experience.

With no traps about and no strange activity going on the old feral tom Sad Face showed up on Sunday for a meal. I pulled into the driveway after an early morning trip to the bakery and he was waiting for me. I got out of the car and approached him. He flopped for some back and skull rubs. I brought out platters of food and he ate well. He may be a wild animal but there is one human he trusts and that one is me.
