PAZ THE WINE went well with a lifetime fig last out in a quick heat. The cutback to six furlongs is key.

The LOUISIANA LADY has been an on-and-off personal project. Did a lifetime fig last out when 4th with specials and today drops back in for a tag. Third over and I'll be cheering for Leo and Luzzi.

GRANPA'S ARIANNA is another who drops back in for a tag. Had ascending turf figs before getting into a busted dirt sprint with specials to catch third money.

Linda's firster out in Canarsie is interesting. DUNE BUGGY has been working well for the debut and Junior is a fine gate rider. Scope the tote.

Well, I went over the entire card and saw so many "traps" and "bricked-up" doors to nowhere that I figure the best way to beat this card is to catch a bangeroo in a race or two and rip up the rest of the action. This small-field card is one hulluva puzzle.

The first thing I did was get up on the NYRA rewards account and bang out the last few bucks in it for a cold double.

DD: 4/4

I get a DD to kick off and a buck W/P on both Lumps as an old toothless diddler.

And it's 69/1 with CIRQUE who came back for the place.

I may still be in for an ass kicking but I ain't never caught a $115.00 place runner until today. That bum was the top pick on the sheets put out by the one-legged Chinese dwarf.

This card is just what I figured so far - a massive mystery puzzle.
